Catherine has been practising law as a barrister since 2007. She has a particular interest in healthcare regulatory law and have represented hundreds of healthcare professionals before a variety of courts and tribunals.
Catherine’s other specialism is that of coroners’ inquests, where she has represented both families and clinicians.
Additionally, since undertaking pupillage at a large criminal chambers, I have prosecuted for a number of bodies and defended hundreds of clients charged will all types of criminal offences.
Catherine has a wealth of experience in the areas in which she practices, underpinned by a 20-year career in the NHS as a nurse, general manager and clinical director.
She understands the issues and dilemmas that clinicians face on a daily basis, as well as having a detailed knowledge of the law in each area. Furthermore, she is a highly experienced advocate, well-used to both adversarial and inquisitorial environments.
As well as her legal practice, she also provides a consultancy and training service in related areas.
